The VT Boys like pizza

This weekend has been very good, and we made the most of it, the weather was not great but we don't mind as we have always lots to do in the house anyway. In the morning we loaded a new program on the Mac with you can make your own music with, it is very good and the possibilities are endless, one of our friends made a brilliant piece of music, it took him 6 weeks to complete, but it is absolutely perfect.

For lunch we had pizza, and after this Mr Garfield had some time to play some games on the big iMac and Mr.Biscuits was busy making a birthday card for Mr.Mac as it will be his birthday next week. After this we played some board games with our favourite on Master Mind. We all had a go and Mr.Biscuits is very good at this game.
For dinner Mr.Garfield had is favourite Lasagna and Mr.Biscuits had a bagel, crisps oh and some biscuits -surprise surprise. Our drive home was good and we played some good music in the car, hopefully next time Mr.Garfield will have made his own.

The VT Boys computer build is finished

This weekend the VT Boys had a project to complete, with now having the last two components for the computer build we are able to finished it. First we inserted the new Intel i5 2500K 3.3Ghz processor and fitted the heat sink and fan, we than inserted the new ATI 6670 2Gb PCI-e graphics card, connected all the cables and test fire the computer, to all our relieve we had a BIOS screen coming up and the computer looked to be stable. For lunch we had toasties and a drink.
Intel i5 Sandybridge 2500K 3.3Ghz 4Mb Cache and Intel 3000 HD Graphics
ATI Redeon 6670 2Gb Graphics Card
We now had to install the operating system which is Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit as the computer has 8Gb DDR3 RAM it should not be any problem to run this. Windows installed within 15 minutes and 15 minutes later all the drivers where in place. It was no problem to attach it to the internet and 30 seconds later we had the www.Google.co.uk screen up.
Ready to be finished
After a few tests by pushing up the Graphics card frame rate, we are ready to install a few games, Skyrim was the first game and the install was done in no time, much faster than the new iMac i7. The game looks really good and was very fast on all the highest settings. The next game was Need for Speed Hot Pursuit which looks absolutely wonderful and again with all the highest settings.
Look inside with new processor but without the ATI graphics card
The computer has been on for more than 6 hours and the fans on the back are still cold and no noise came out of the computer. We packed the computer in the box and we had shake and bake chicken with American fries. We made our way to Wisbech so that Mr.Garfield could connect it at home in his 23" Samsung LCD screen, another successful computer build done by The VT Boys. See in this blog some of the pictures we made of the computer.

Lots of connectivity on the back (USB 3.0, Firewire, Bluetooth, HDMI, DVI, eSATA)

The VT Boys are clearing up

Last week the VT Boys have been very busy spring cleaning the house, well call it Winter cleaning instead, the first thing we did was clearing all the Apple Macs we have in the house, as they had been taking over the house, we had them everywhere, in the hallway, bedrooms etc. Have have wrapped them carefully up in bubble wrap made a few last pictures of them and put them under the stairs cupboard.
Three generations of iMac from Apple (all G3 from 233Mhz up to 400Mhz)

The Power Mac G4 450Mhz
After this we drove to the dump and dumped lots of old stuff again, after all this had work we had some lunch, as we have been shopping before we drove back to Norfolk. Mr.Garfield and Mr.Mac had to complete a few levels on Crash Bandicote for VT Girl number.
The three amigos
Mr.Biscuits again made some lovely music on Garage Band on the iMac, so we all had a good listen to that, as the boys had a sleep over this weekend we watched some TV, and Mr.Biscuits had his usual Biscuits and milk before going to bed.
Mr Biscuits is a great actor
The film for the evening was The Book of Eli (on Blu Ray) which in all our eyes is one of Densel Washington's finest films he ever made.

In the morning we all had a early start thanks to VT Girl number 3 - but we don't mind as we have more time to play, after breakfast we had some stuff to do in the house but soon after that we installed a new game called Skyrim, this game is so good it is almost like watching a film when you play the game. After all this gaming it was time to have some dinner, Pasta and Garlic bread and for afters we had Angel Delight.
Next week we are going to be very busy as the time has come to finish of the super duper computer from Mr.Garfield. The Graphics Card and processor have been delivered and they are the last two things to go in the Gaming PC, after connecting all the cables and drives we can start installing Windows 7 64-bit and test the PC out - we can't wait.

The VT Boys celebrating Christmas

The VT Boys celebrating Christmas 2011, as always we have a great time and lots to do, the weather has been very mild for December and the VT Boys enjoying their holidays. We are looking forward to Christmas because we are getting some presents. Mr Garfield had some chocolate and an iTunes voucher for purchasing some Applications, Films or some music from Apple App-store. Mr. Biscuits had a professional Computer Engineer repair kit which he really liked.

Over December we did lots of cooking and baking and some of the pictures you can see what we have made over the last mouth. We also have played with lots of computers and upgraded a few. Some of the games we have been playing are amazing like Need for Speed Shift 2, Driver, and the best of all Need for Speed the Run what a game. Mr.Garfield already completed the game on the easy level and next time he is going to try the middle one.

Mr.Biscuits has been very busy this December as he has been away for the weekend with the cubs - scouts, camping overnight close to Wisbech, he was also secondary so he had to take charge sometimes and make sure that all was going well in the camp.

What we also did was made some great home made hamburgers, with home made French fries and chicken shake and bake, and we where surprised that Mr.Mac Junior with his girlfriend also joined us - which was very nice indeed.

Home made lasagne was also on the menu this December which is Mr.Garfield's favourite meal, and last weekend we had Chicken in White Wine sauce with is Mr.Biscuits one.

I believe 2012 is going to be a good year, as Mr.Garfield is going to finish his computer - a real race monster, the best gaming PC ever he has build.

The VT Boys know how the enjoy themselves

The VT Boys know how the enjoy themselves. We have not one weekend when we don't know what to do, the weather has not helped in this situation, however we have plenty to do.
Last time it was all about building and playing board games and the whole family joined in to have fun. We have lots of games we can choose from. This time we played Pac Man the board game, I don't know if we played by the rules, but we did not care, we had fun and everybody was a winner.
Also the VT Boys found time to play with VT Girl No.3 - we built towers (our favourite) and houses and of course VT Girl likes to throw them over so it makes lots of noise.
Of course we had lots to eat and we always like to cook it ourselves. It was also last weekend Mr.Biscuits birthday and he had lots of money to buy a Nintendo 3DS, so he is very happy and Mr.Mac can't wait to see how it looks and how it works.

The VT Boys are cooking again

This weekend the VT Boys had a sleep over. We planned in a lot of cooking this weekend as well as playing on the computers, putting a few things on eBay for sale, repairing an old computer and watching a few films we like.

We also had a surprise in store, as we had our car back from repairs. We all agreed the loaner we had for a few weeks was not a very nice car (Red Mini One) so we were very happy to have our own back. For lunch we had Pizza from ASDA and for dinner we had Boerenkool met spek and worst - a Dutch dish we all very much enjoyed. In the evening after VT Girl No.3 was put to bed we watched Rush Hour 3 and Mr.Biscuits was able to watch the film out before going to bed at 22:45.
Mr.Biscuits and Mr.Mac spent a few hours in the kitchen, trying to make Dutch Apple Pie, however things did not go to plan, as the dough was very sticky and too soft to put it in a round baking tin, so we made a smaller one, we also had some dough left over so we made a few cookies out of that.

The VT Boys always have a good time

This weekend the VT Boys had a little surprise  - very little is the shape of a Red Mini One, as the BMW had to go to the garage for repairs. Last week Mr.Mac Junior and Senior had to go to Holland for a few days, and on our way we hit a small deer. Now the BMW was part of the left bumper missing and the fog light was broken.
This weekend we had lots to do, Mr.Biscuits had to create some forms on the computer, and both Mr.Garfield and Mr.Buscuits had to expand their MineCraft cities. We still had some time to make cheese cake and a lovely Pasta which is Mr.Garfields speciality.

We also enjoyed Chocomelk from Holland, and some Wokkels which is a type of potato chip. In the evening we drove back to Cambridgeshire in the Mini, but one person was very happy, VT Girl No.2 she love mini's as it reminds her of Mr.Bean.
Oh Yes and Mr. Biscuits made this great looking cushion
