The VT Boys computer build is finished

This weekend the VT Boys had a project to complete, with now having the last two components for the computer build we are able to finished it. First we inserted the new Intel i5 2500K 3.3Ghz processor and fitted the heat sink and fan, we than inserted the new ATI 6670 2Gb PCI-e graphics card, connected all the cables and test fire the computer, to all our relieve we had a BIOS screen coming up and the computer looked to be stable. For lunch we had toasties and a drink.
Intel i5 Sandybridge 2500K 3.3Ghz 4Mb Cache and Intel 3000 HD Graphics
ATI Redeon 6670 2Gb Graphics Card
We now had to install the operating system which is Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit as the computer has 8Gb DDR3 RAM it should not be any problem to run this. Windows installed within 15 minutes and 15 minutes later all the drivers where in place. It was no problem to attach it to the internet and 30 seconds later we had the www.Google.co.uk screen up.
Ready to be finished
After a few tests by pushing up the Graphics card frame rate, we are ready to install a few games, Skyrim was the first game and the install was done in no time, much faster than the new iMac i7. The game looks really good and was very fast on all the highest settings. The next game was Need for Speed Hot Pursuit which looks absolutely wonderful and again with all the highest settings.
Look inside with new processor but without the ATI graphics card
The computer has been on for more than 6 hours and the fans on the back are still cold and no noise came out of the computer. We packed the computer in the box and we had shake and bake chicken with American fries. We made our way to Wisbech so that Mr.Garfield could connect it at home in his 23" Samsung LCD screen, another successful computer build done by The VT Boys. See in this blog some of the pictures we made of the computer.

Lots of connectivity on the back (USB 3.0, Firewire, Bluetooth, HDMI, DVI, eSATA)
