The VT Boys have some good news

This week the VT Boys have some good news the share as Mr.Garfield started his first day working at his new job in Spalding at the Ink2Print computer shop. It has gone really fast - he send the job application of on Saturday - got a call on Tuesday - job interview on Thursday and started the next following Tuesday on his first day - wow.
All the VT Boys and Girls are very happy for him, and already he was able the share some of the pictures taken at his work desk - He is learning a lot repairing all sorts of computers from Lenovo's to Apples - we are all really proud of him.

The VT Boys had their first BBQ of this year

The VT Boys had their first BBQ of this year  - and we kept it really simple, just sauces and burgers yummy. It was of course Mt.Gadget who like to cook on the BBQ and Mr.Garfield likes to eat it. We had a lovely day and we had too much food as usual.

For the rest was it a very relaxed weekend, with playing plenty of games and lots of talking about how to move on in life, On Sunday we when't to church and we stayed behind for some drinks and snacks for afters. We also spend some time with Mr.Garfield to get his CV in order and send off his first real job application for a job working for a small computer shop in Spalding. Lets hope he gets a job interview - we all keep our fingers crossed.

The VT Boys have seen Eddy Stobart

The VT Boys have seen Eddy Stobart and wanted to share this with the VT Girls. See pictures below of the very special day at the Truck Feast in Peterborough.

The VT Boys did some Chinese Shopping

Last weekend the VT Boys had to get some supplies - Chinese food to be precise, we had to drive all the way to Norwich for this to go to the Chinese Supermarket. VT Girl has given us a budget if £50.00 because she know we sometimes get carried away with our spending.
We had a nice drive up to Norwich and it was not to busy, we parked up the car - like everybody else at the supermarket (Outside the lines and half way up to parking bay), we picked a trolley, one of the special size so that Mr.Gadget can use it. (see picture below)
We love going shopping for Chinese food - you can get some much different things and really cheap. The things on our list are easy - Noodles and Noodles. We got a lot, Chicken and Black Garlic, beef and Beef and vegetables, a new wok, Crispy Duck Spring rolls some Chinese tea, biscuits and a nice tea mug.
For dinner we had Babi Pangang with noodles which Mr Gadget and Mr Mac senior made - lovely. Next weekend the VT Boys have a sleepover, so we can eat a lot more.

The VT Boys met some old friends

Me with my best friend Marcel Fronik
The VT Boys met some old friend which we have't seen in 30 years. After all the sadness we had to deal with with my fathers dead, we needed some happiness in our lives (apart from God our holy father, we needed something else).

Mr.Mac Junior
Mr.Mac Senior called his old friend who he had not seen in 30 years, it was like old times the stories he came out with, I had not laughed like this for years. It made our trip less sad and we are keeping in contact, because 30 years is to long.
Please see some pictures of our wonderful friends in Holland (Weesp)

The VT Boys are in Holland

Some of the VT Boys are in Holland but not on a holiday, Mac Senior's father and Mac Junior's grand father (Opa) has died. This is very sad and we had to say good-bye to him last Saturday. Both the Mac's had to help clearing up the house and strip the bathroom, kitchen and rooms from flooring etc.

This tasks took us well over 5 days and we gave away lots of stuff, we could not believe how much stuff or father had collected over the nearly 18 years he lived there. We found lots of radios, cigaret lighters, watches, and hundreds of paintings well over 300 of them.
This was his life work - some really good, some really bad. The piece my father was most proud of was the the Night Watch from Rembrandt (he made a copy of the original 50% smaller) it was so big we had no way of moving it in any car or bus. On the funeral one of my dads best friends made speech who was also a art painter, it was so moving, so we gave the painting to him, he was so happy with it and now it is hanging upstairs in his art studio.

One lesson we have learned  - you can't take stuff back in to heaven, only yourself, stuff helps you to enhance your life not make you happy (your family can).

Both the Mac's are very tired and need a holiday to recover (or just a cuddle with our wife and girlfriend) We hope we can come back to Holland under better circumstances and have more time to spend with family and friend over there.

The VT Boys are playing with a new toy

This weekend the VT Boys have been playing with a new toy, the new MacBook Air Haswell, this model is the Intel Haswell i7 1.7Ghz with 8Gb DDR3 and 256Gb Flash drive, very fast and one of Mr.Biscuits favourites. Mr.Garfield like it also very much, but he was to busy playing a new game on the iPad.

After our lunch - the boys had noodles with garlic and chicken and Mr.Mac Senior had toasties with Ham and cheese, Mr.Mac and Mr.Garfield had to build a new computer with windows 8.1 for our local Baptist church which is going to be used as a server for storing MP3 and streaming of videos. He did a very good job and the machine was up and running in no time.
He also had time to play Tomb Raider for the Mac which was fantastic to play and graphics where very good. Meanwhile Mr.Biscuits had the MacBook installed with Bootcamp and Windows 7 64-bit professional, it was running very fast and ready to be used in the field. For dinner we had some Mexican food - and Mr.Biscuits said it was very hot.
