The VT Boys are heavy Gamers

The VT Boys are heavy gamers that we all know, we are also very good at it, we play all sorts of games from first person shooters to racing games, one thing we all agree on it that Grid 2 is one of the best racing games you can play, whatever it is on the Mac, PC or Playstation 3 - we love this game, graphics are fantastic, playability is perfect and the sound is in full DTS surround stereo.

We had a very nice weekend as the weather was not that great, so we spend the most of the afternoon playing games and play around with our computers.

For dinner we had fish fingers, mash and beans, but not Mr.Biscuits because he likes sweetcorn the most. Both Mr.Biscuits and Mr Garfield are back to College and School and both enjoy it very much

Next weekend we are going to setup a new mac again and doing something with our cookery skills, we look forward to that.

The VT Boys uncovered the big secret

The VT Boys have uncovered the big secret of making the perfect lasagne, even 2 nights ago they already had lasagne for tea they did not mind having it this weekend. Later on we tell you how to make it in the perfect VT Boys style way.

This weekend we had a lot to do and new toys to play with a new iMac 27" 2012 ivybridge i5 2.90Ghz and Nvidia GTX660 Graphics and the New HP ProBook 4340s with ivybridge chipset and Intel HD4000 graphics card running on i3 2.50Ghz. Mr.Biscuits loved the new HP laptop which is really just a smaller version of the one we have anyway. This 13.3" laptop runs like a dream and has Windows 7 64-bit on it, it runs the new blockx game in a fantastic way and is really portable.
The new iMac is also fantastic and after installing the Microsoft Blur racing game, you could see way the screen was better then the older Sandybridge iMac. The game was running really fast even it was et on 4x Anti Aliasing and super HD resolution.
Now coming back to the lasagne making, the big secret is letting it rest after making it - lots of cheese between the layers and a little bit of maggie with the meat while frying it. The result is the perfect lasagne VT Boys style way.
Looking forward till next weekend  - and see what we are going to cook.

The VT Boys like going Dutch

The VT Boys like going Dutch, as they are half Dutch and half English, what they most like is Dutch food and treats and this weekend we had it all, Mr.Biscuits knew that we had Joode Koeken again, or in English Jewish Biscuits. He was unable to wait before lunch so he had one and he said this is how I remember them to be.

For lunch we had Toasties with Ham and Cheese which we all liked and after lunch Mr Garfield and Mr Biscuits played a game called Bloax on the iPhone and iPad mini together, with this game you can build things a bit like Minecraft.
We also had to strip a old Dell Pentium 4 for parts as the machine did not work anymore due to terminal overheating. This was a job for Mr.Biscuits as Mr Garfield was trying out the new TV with the Playstation 3. He loved it - the games run so much better and the bigger screen really helps.
For dinner we had Babi Pangang with Beans and white rice lovely. Next week Mr Biscuits is going to camp with the scouts and Mr.Garfield has a job interview to go to. Next time when we are all together we are going to try out Babi Ketjap we are looking forward to that.

The VT Boys like going to the dump again

Yesterday the VT Boys had a big clear out again, because a lot of electronic stuff was building up and was never going to be used. So we looked under the bed, and in our cupboards. We found the following, a working DVD recorder, 19" LCD Screen, 2 BT Routers, a broken micro stereo with speaker, a VHS player, keyboard and bike.
After coming back from the dump we needed to test out the new DVD player from VT Girl No.2 as it stopped working on his HDMI connection and see if it did work on SCART so we had to take it downstairs and try it on the big telly and yes it did work fine so VT Girl No.2 now is going to have the big telly from downstairs and Mr Mac is going to buy a new one.

Mr.Biscuits also had to rebuild a PC because it stopped working, which in the end was a easy job to do because Windows 7 loaded all the drivers. Mr.Garfield played one of his favorite PS3 games GRID2 and Mr Biscuits was playing very nice with VT Girl No.3 doing origami making paper balloons and plains. For dinner we had potato wedges, fish fingers, union rings, sweetcorn and beans.

The VT Boys like the good weather

The VT Boys like the good weather, last weekend the VT Boys had a sleepover in Norfolk, which is always great because we have more time to do things. We done lots again over the two days, however our planned BBQ for Saturday had to be moved to Sunday as the weather was not that good, it was not raining but a bit windy so instead we had Home made chicken and chips which we all liked.
Saturday was a good day of doing things with the computers and Mr. Biscuits had a new Mac to play with, The MacBook (white edition Early 2009) he absolutely loved it, it was fast because we upgraded it with a SSD hard drive and maxed out the memory. It is running OSX 10.8.4 Mountain Lion so we know it will also run Apple's latest operating system Mavericks 10.9.
Mr.Garfield was unable to wait any longer to go on the Playstation 3 and finish his game he started two weeks ago and of course he played upstairs on the 27" iMac to do some other things, he also had some great news to share with all of us, he received a thank you for one of his favourite groups Approaching Nirvana from the USA, he was very proud of his two new stickers they have send him.
On Saturday evening we watched Cool Running a true story about 4 Jamaican people competing in the 1988 Winter Olympics as a bobsled Team. We all laughed, a great family film to watch.
Sunday the weather was much better, so we planned our BBQ for sunday lunch - yummy. We had burgers, American Hotdogs, and Chinese chicken and of course Mr.Biscuits did all the cooking and he did a great job. After lunch Mr.Biscuits and Mr.Mac tried to repair a old iBook 900Mhz as it was not charging anymore, we did replaced the bits we needed, but it was still not charging, so we concluded it must be a logic board error, never mind it still works great when plugged in.
Mr Garfield did finish his game after playing for more than three days, but we did not give him any rest as we planned in a family game of Ludo, what a great game is was and of course our resident gamer Mr Garfield won. For dinner Mr Mac made from left over Chinese chicken a meal with rice and hot chilli sauce. We all had a great weekend and we are looking forward to the next one.

The VT Boys had a BBQ this weekend

This weekend the VT Boys had a BBQ and we are loving it, first we had to go to the shops to get some supplies in the end we had Bangers, 100% Beefburgers and Chinese Chicken lovely. The first person to come forward to do the cooking was Mr.Biscuits as he loves cooking food but even better doing it on the BBQ.

First of all we had lunch and we had lovely Pizza with hot peppers, salami and mushrooms, after lunch Mr.Garfield needed to do so home work for a assignment he needed to hand in on Wednesday and Mr.Biscuits had a job to do, re-installing a Acer Workstation with Windows 7 64-bit professional.
After all this hard work we where ready setting up the BBQ, light it and starting putting the meat on the BBQ. Mr.Biscuits does a excellent job, not only everything is cooked to perfection it also tasted very nice indeed. This Weekend was very short, so next time when they come, they will have a sleepover.

The VT Boys like extreme gaming and making

Last weekend the VT Boys did some extreme gaming and making things, first of all Mr.Garfield wanted to play the new game GRID 2 Racing driver on the Playstation 3 and Mr. Biscuits did some work on the MacBook Pro 13"
GRID2 is a really good game and Mr.Mac Senior was giving this game by VT Girl No.1 as a fathers day present, he loves racing games and so does Mr.Garfield. Before we knew he was 11% in the game and was doing really well.

Mr.Biscuits however wanted to do something different this weekend and we had some spare aluminium sheets, so he made a nice coaster out of it, he used our mini drill to put some writing on it. See picture below.

We are still waiting to have our first BBQ, the summer weather has been really bad and we can't wait to do some crab fishing.
