The VT Boys have a new graphics card

The VT Boys have a new graphics card the NVidia GTX 950 with 2Gb DDR5 memory from EGA and what a card it is. This GPU is capable of running everything from day to day Applications to high end gaming.
This is the final piece of the computer build and we can say officially the project has been concluded with great success.

Over the next few months Mr.Gadget is going to test this card with all his games, Fall Out 4 will be the game to test it with. We know it is faster than the R9 280x so playing games in high resolution or even 4K should not be a problem.

The VT Boys know that Minecraft does not run in 4K

The VT Boys know that Minecraft does not run in 4K as we tried it to make it work, it would be a bit silly anyway to run it in 4K as it would not look alright. This weekend Mr Gadget has brought his computer with him to do some fine tweaking and see what looks okay in 4K resolution, pretty much most of the games look perfect only some look naff.
We also had time to setup the Scalextric as we had more tracks to use this time, we have also order some more cars and tracks for next time. See picture below of our latest track.
For dinner we had Fish, Mash and Green beans and ice cream for afters, we had a lovely drive back to Cambridgeshire and next week Mr. Gadget has a parade in Ely which the whole family is going to the see him, we are looking forward to it.

The VT Boys opening a new shop

The VT Boys opening a new shop last saturday and we are very proud of all the hard work we put into it, Mr. Gadget was very excited as it was a first for him. The good thing was he also came over for a sleepover (Suggested by VT Girl No.1) so we can start early and do some work before opening the new computer shop in Dereham.

What a shop it is (Stuart the owner put a lot of hard work in to make the computer shop the best in town) - see picture of a proud owner below.

Mr.Gadget was task by Stuart to setup the ACS own computer build display, they start from basic workstation to Super Gaming machine with Intel i7 processor and NVidia Gaming graphics GPU. See picture below of the finished result.

Mr.Gadget in the shop
After he done that Mr.Gadget setup some laptops, made sure they were secure added the pricing stands and they all started up in Windows 7, 8.1 or 10. We had lunch from the local bakery and drinks from Costa Coffee (We get 10% discount as we are local shop workers)

The shop opened at 10am and we had lots of customers walking in to have a look at all the stuff we had in the shop, Mr Gadget was very helpful and did lots of jobs for Stuart and me. As a reward he was given a mechanical gaming keyboard.

The VT Boys starting the New Year with a Race

The VT Boys starting the New Year with a Race and what a race it is, Mr. Mac Senior has been given a Scalextric for his Christmas present which not makes him happy but everybody else in the VT household as well. Mr.Gadget and the VT Girls have been playing for almost 4 hours and they had great fun.

We also did the usual lots of eating (Macaroni Cheese) and upgrading a few computers, Mr.Gadget took apart a MacBook Pro 13.3" to upgrade it with a new 240Gb SSD HDD and it is running very fast with El Capitan installed.

Mr. Mac Senior also had Christmas card from Mr.Garfield and Mr.Mac Junior which was very nice of them, we miss them both very much and like to see them a bit more, but I do understand they have there own lives to life.

Lets hope 2016 is going to be a good year, which will bring us all even closer together and look out for one another as much as we can.
